Mapping table: restore the original text

The mapping table links each code, such as [PERS1] or [ORG1], to its original value. Decoding runs locally for text or documents.

Restore original text

Lexanon replaces placeholders with the matter's original values. The key remains encrypted with AES-256-GCM and stays on the computer.

Key sources

A recent session, exported mapping PDF or library .lexanon-key file.

Drag and drop key import

Automatic PDF / .lexanon-key / .json recognition.

Text mode

For LLM responses or excerpts containing placeholders.

Document mode

For anonymised PDF/DOCX files, restoring layout where possible.

Export result

Copy or download decoded text or documents.

What the mapping table is for

Without a mapping table, the firm can no longer reverse the codes. The matter's key—a recent session, exported PDF or .lexanon-key file—allows you to read an AI response or restore a PDF. This is not GDPR anonymisation: while the table exists, the data remains personal.

The module forms part of the pseudonymisation software. For the preceding workflow, see intelligent pseudonymisation.
