## Short answer for citation

Lexanon detects and pseudonymises personal data in documents (PDF, DOCX, Excel, images and emails) on the user's computer, with human review before sharing. This is not anonymisation under the GDPR: data remains personal, with an encrypted mapping table. Document preparation is local. If a user chooses remote AI, the approved content they send leaves the computer; the recipient's safeguards must still be assessed.

## Compliance

Document detection and pseudonymisation run locally. Users remain responsible for review before disclosure, confidentiality rules and recipient selection. AI functions and remote integrations may transmit approved content the user chooses to send. Lexanon performs pseudonymisation; a pseudonymised file is not automatically anonymous under the GDPR.
